+ Do you deliver every image you shoot?
No we do not , only a number of edited photos will be provide depending on package. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery and quality. For example, because we shoot with low apertures, sometimes we take a few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus.
We don’t expect you to have the expertise or the time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus, so we spend hours doing that on our end. In another example, candid laughs and emotional tears are some of the best images from the day. Unfortunately, they can also yield some unflattering facial expressions. We might snap a few extras of any of these moments to make sure we have a great shot with the ideal expression for the moment. With our expertise if processing millions of images each year, we may eliminate ones that we feel are duplicates and only deliver the best one.
+ Do you provide videography services?
We are providing only cinematic videography. If you want traditional videography, then please discuss it in separate.
+ Have you shot at my venue before?
We have shot at hundreds of venues so there is a good chance that we have. If we have not, we will make sure to perform a thorough walk through with you prior to your wedding day.
+ Do you guys do destination weddings? What additional fees are associated with destination weddings?
While MY VISUAL ARTISTRY is based out Delhi, we serve clients all around India & abroad. Our destination wedding photography packages are simply our standard packages plus the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations if necessary. We are offerings lower rates to South Indian weddings and Christian weddings, depending on the specific circumstances. + Do you provide partial day coverage?
We hardly provide partial day coverage, depending on the availability. Services start from 40K INR/day Photo.
Style and Quality Questions
+ What is your photography style?
#myvisualartistry is acclaimed for developing a unique style of wedding photography that is deeply rooted in wedding photojournalism while influenced by fine-art and fashion photography. We love using creative lighting, unique perspectives, angles, compositions and artistic post production refining to bring out our clients’ personalities and beauty while telling their wedding story. We pride ourselves on not just being photographers, but rather artists creating unique and expressive imagery storytellers.
+ Can I see a full event from start to finish?
Of course you may! We pride ourselves on the consistency of our work. We understand all photographers put up their best shots from each wedding on their websites so it’s hard to determine how well he or she will perform on the wedding day. That is why we encourage all of our potential clients to view full events from all photographers they meet with to see how well the photographer performs throughout the day.
+ My venue is really dark. How does your studio handle these situations and can I see samples?
We have shot in the darkest of dark chapels and reception halls so no need to worry! If the situation allows, we will set up additional lighting to ensure we get bright crisp pictures. In some circumstances and for that reason, we shoot on cameras and lenses with superb low-light technology and great performances.
Wedding Day Questions
+ I need to do ‘Getting Ready’ shot, how you capture it?
We highly suggest to co-ordinate with the parlour manager when you finalise your parlour, so that we can execute that shot without any limitation. That way you can enjoy the rest of your day without having to worry about taking too much time out for photo’s. Also this is when the makeup and hair are fresh. We’ll set up a first look moment so it’ll still be a surprise when you see each other. Be sure to give us at least a full hour so we can capture the amazing shots you see in our portfolio.
+ I have a lot of downtime in between events on my wedding day. Will I be charged for that downtime?
For a variety of reasons, we have to charge for the time in between events. The fact is, we’re never truly resting during the day, whether we’re backing up images, setting up for the second venue, travelling to the second location, taking venue shots, or making up for lost photo time because of wedding day delays. In many cases, we use that “’’downtime”” to take you and your significant other out for a photo session or more family portraits.
+ What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time?
We understand that not everything goes as planned during a wedding. We never pack up before the contracted time; and moreover we’re not leaving on the dot when the contracted time is up. Instead, we will ask you at the end of your contracted time whether or not you would like to.
+ Why do we need to charge for additional coverage?
We’ve dedicated the entire day to your wedding, so we won’t be racing off to catch other plans that evening. However, we need to charge for additional coverage primarily because there are additional costs of having the team stay for additional hours. The lighting assistants and second shooters all require additional compensation. Furthermore, the additional photos taken all need to be post produced, adding to our overall costs.
Delivery Session Questions
+ When can we expect to see our photo’s from our entire Wedding session?
Post production for entire Pre-Wedding/Engagement/Wedding/Post-Wedding sessions are completed within six weeks after the date of the shoot. There might be slight deviation in the schedule due to peak season or off season. If you require the images to be completed prior to six weeks after the date of the shoot, a rush-process fee of 10K INR will be charged.
+ How many images do you typically deliver from wedding?
We typically deliver anywhere from 200-300 images per day. But you never know what surprises we will ready for you.
+ Why you guys put your logo in small sized pictures?
All images, taken by us, which are shared on social media need to be identified by copyright and must contain “MY VISUAL ARTISTRY” watermark. Unfortunately, this is due to an unusually high incidence of images being stolen online by other photographers who have made a practice of using other people’s photography and presenting as their own. If you have images, which you would like to share via social media and would like it cropped or resized, this can be provided upon request, with watermark.
Album and Prints
+ What is the specification of the album you will provide?
We’ve designed the best customised photobook just for you with best paper and print so that you will get rich colour for your special photo. However, we provide with different varieties of photobooks that easily makes their own room in your library and you can see the whole picture in one go. These books generally contain 70 pages. We highly recommended setting big picture in a single page for your eyes. There are max 180 pictures we can add from the edited pictures that we provide. Also, you can anytime ask us to see different photobook samples to have a look and feel of the type of photobook to be added in the package.
+ How long does it take to get my album?
As with our other products, production time varies. However, you can expect to receive your album 2 weeks after placing the order. The process before placing the order varies in duration depending on how quickly you respond on images for the album. Some couples complete this within a week or two, others take over a year.
+ What album companies do you offer?
We create our photobooks from oodio / maazda. However, if you prefer the styles of any other album makers, we would be glad to accommodate your request. However, additional fees may apply depending on the printer you choose.
+ Do you guys provide framing services as well?
Yes, we do provide framing services. You can mail your query to email@example.com with subject line ‘Frames’.
+ What size can we print our photo’s up to with our full resolution image DVD?
In most cases, you can print your photo’s up to as big as possible with a co-ordination with print house without any quality loss. If you’d like to print larger than 20×30 inch, additional post-production might be required.
+ What rights do I have to the digital prints ?
You have the right to reprint images whenever you want, wherever you want. However, you may not sell your images for a profit or publish your images for financial benefit without the written consent from us.
+ Do you provide the RAW files from my engagement session and/or wedding day?
We typically do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from our shoots because we believe in delivering a finished product. In fact, we’re often shooting with the end (post-produced) product in mind. However, if you absolutely want your RAW images, we will provide them to you along with our post-produced JPG’s for an additional fee of 10K INR.
Image Backup Questions
+ Do you backup our images? How can we ensure that our images won’t be lost?
We have never lost an image from a wedding due to the following backup workflow for each our events:
We back up on a Hard Drive after each major event throughout the day. This leaves one copy on the cards and creates one copy on the External Hard Drive. After the shoot, we back up the cards to another Hard Drive. Once the images are completed we upload the images to an offsite location and burn another copy for our archives. At any given point, there are two copies of the files. After delivery it will safe with us for a year too.
Image Backup Questions
+ What type of camera/equipment do you use?
We are using top notch Nikon/Canon & Sony FX camera with, fixed aperture lenses, zoom lenses and powerful flash units and some other tools just for the sake of creativity.
Payment and Tax Questions
+ How do I reserve you for my date?
All dates are reserved once we receive your signed contract and deposit.
+ If we cancel the wedding, will we receive our deposit back?
Unfortunately, No. Deposits are use to reserve your date. Once we’ve reserved your date we do not accept new clients for your date.
+ If we change our wedding to a different date, will we be able to use our deposit towards a future date?
Yes. However, if rates change from your original date to your new date, the new rates will apply.
+ Where are you based?
We are centralised in New Delhi and happy to travel to your wedding… just ask!
+ Can we meet before the wedding?
Yes, Of course. Meeting before the wedding creates a more vivid picture of what you actually want. A discussion face to face will make us more comfortable with you and thus the result is better pictures.
+ How do we differentiate you from other wedding photographers?
Wedding photography is not just a profession for me, it is my passion. I do not treat you as clients but a lovely bonded couple excited for their most precious date It is documentation of everything from pictures of people entering, talking, looking at each other, eating, drinking, meeting the bride & groom, posed, rituals, candid, stage, group – ALL kinds of pictures and so you can call me a contemporary wedding photographer.
+ What is the right time to book you?
I would recommend to book before 6-12 months, your wedding date can be the most heavy date and the last minute hustle with the selection can really go wrong.
+ How to initiate the payment?
